Sending the right file types upfront saves time and ensures everything looks sharp on your site. Here's what works best for each type of content.

Photos and images

  • Best formats: JPG/JPEG for photos. PNG for anything that needs a transparent background (logos, icons, badges). WebP is ideal if you have it.
  • Minimum size: At least 1200px wide for full-width sections. At least 800x800px for square or product images. Profile photos should be at least 400x400px.
  • File size: We'll compress everything during the build, so don't worry about large files. Send the highest quality version you have.
  • What not to send: Screenshots from a phone at low resolution, heavily compressed JPEGs, or images that have already been resized down from a small original.

Logos and branding

  • Best formats: SVG (ideal, scales to any size without quality loss), PNG with a transparent background, or AI/EPS files from a designer.
  • JPEGs with a white background aren't ideal for logos but we can work with what you have. If you don't have a logo file yet, see I don't have a logo yet.

Documents

  • Best format: PDF. Try to keep files under 5MB if possible.
  • If you're sending a menu, price list, or brochure, let us know whether you want it embedded on the page, linked as a download, or both.

How to send files

Attach files by using the client portal. Share share a Google Drive or Dropbox link in your message if you don't have a file to attach.
