Can you add a popup or announcement banner?

Yes, these can be added to your website. What is available depends on the platform your site is built on.

Announcement banners

A banner is a slim bar at the top of the page, typically used for promotions, hours changes, or important notices. This is one of the simpler additions across all platforms we support.

• GitHub Pages: We build a custom HTML/CSS bar. Can be updated any time via your client portal.
• Wix: Has a built-in announcement bar feature you can control from the editor.
• Squarespace: Supports an announcement bar natively from the site settings.
• WordPress: Can be added with a plugin or custom code depending on your theme.

Popups

Popups (overlays that appear after a delay or on exit) require more setup and vary more by platform.

• GitHub Pages: We can build a custom JavaScript popup. This is additional scope if added after launch.
• Wix: Wix has a built-in lightbox and popup tool available in the editor.
• Squarespace: Supports popups natively through the promotional popup settings.
• WordPress: Typically done through a plugin. We can recommend and configure one that fits your site.
