You don't need a formal brand guide or color palette to get started. Many clients come to us without one, and that's completely fine.

What we do

We'll select a color palette based on your industry, the tone of your business, and any visual references you share. We typically ask:

  • Are there any colors you definitely want or want to avoid?
  • Are there any websites or brands whose look you like?
  • What feeling should your site give visitors? Trustworthy, energetic, calm, upscale?

Based on your answers and industry, we'll put together a palette and apply it to your first draft. If the colors are not right, that is exactly what revision rounds are for.

If you already have colors in mind

Include your hex codes in the Content Submission Form. If you only have a rough idea (such as "navy and gold" or "earthy greens"), write that down and we'll translate it into specific shades that work well on screen.

Avoid using brand colors that are very similar to each other or very low-contrast against white or black text. We'll flag anything that could make your site harder to read and suggest alternatives.
