What gets backed up

Your website is kept in a version-controlled system. That means every edit we make is saved as its own restore point, not just a single overnight copy. Nothing is ever overwritten and lost, and we can return your site to how it looked at an earlier moment.

If you are moving to us from another provider, we take a full backup of your existing site exactly as it was before we change anything, so the move stays fully reversible.

How often are backups taken?

It's ongoing. Every change to your site is saved once it's done. We keep your restore points for 60 days in the event of a need to restore.

What if something goes wrong?

Let us know in your client portal. We'll restore your site to the right version for you, within one working day.

Can I request a backup of my site?

Yes. Because you own your content, you can ask for a downloadable copy of your site contents at any time, your text, images, and files, through your client portal. The website design and build itself is handled separately under our Cancellation Policy.
